Hi I'm Emily

I was born and raised in Utah. I love learning about new people and cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Utah. I love big cities and small towns because I've had the chance to live in both. I attended college for 2 years before deciding to serve a mission. I enjoy being active and playing most any sports. I really love food and am never picky when it comes to trying new things. I love new adventures and getting to know people from all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Living in Utah, I was always seen as the typical "Molly Mormon". That meant not smoking or drinking, dressing modestly, not swearing, being responsible, and so on. But I was always just trying to do the right thing and do what I felt God would want me to do. One thing I've realized over the years though is that everyone just has their different challenges. I was blessed to have been raised in the church and always have such a wonderful family and friends that supported my beliefs. Although, I have seen that not everyone gets this opportunity like I have but God loves all His children and wants to bless all of them. Many aspects in my life contributed to the decision to become a missionary, but knowing I could help people see the blessings God has given them, and wants to give them, made me want to serve even more. I know that I have a Heavenly Father and that He knows each one of His children on this earth. I know that this church is true and those who are baptized will be blessed beyond measure. I'm grateful to be a Mormon and to share the truth with the world.

How I live my faith

Growing up in Utah made it easy for me to find ways to serve others because of the large Mormon community. I had opportunities growing up to be a leader of my age group for church. It was always fun to be able to plan fun and spiritual activities for those girls my age. I found that in my community I also had the chance to serve numerous ways. I volunteered weekly at a senior center. I loved it there because I got to learn about the elderly's lives and listen to their memories of when they were younger. These are some of the reasons why I decided to become a missionary for the church. I wanted to help people by serving them and continue to learn about others.
