Hi I'm Joshua

I have lived in Arizona my whole life. I'm a passionate frisbee player who is a lover of ice cream, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play ultimate frisbee. I've realized that it's definitely my top favorite along side with swim. I'm leaving on my mission, but when I get back, I'm going to BYU-Idaho to start majoring in mechanical engineering. With that, I love math and physics. They both seem to just click to me. I also love ice-cream. I definitely got that gene, if that's possible, from my grandpa. I've graduated from high-school with all my great friends who not only are my friends, but my brothers and sisters I believe. They have truly had a positive impact on me and I will never forget the memories that they have made with me. I really love doing anything that involves lots of people to interact with. ( of course the activity needs to be good) With that, I'm also a people person. I love to hear everyone's stories and how they came to be what they are now. I find it so amazing that friends can come from completely different backgrounds, and yet they become best friends. This shows that anyone and everyone can be best friends, so long as you try. I myself have tried my theory and have found that to be true. Really, it is possible to be friends with anyone. Because of this, I have so many friends who are just nothing but pure joy to me. I couldn't have been who I am though without my family. Family is so important to me. They not only are always there for me, but they lift my burdens, and they are the ones who create the most powerful memories for me. I love my family and I always will!

Why I am a Mormon

I have friends with all different types of religion. In fact, a couple of my best friends have a different religion than me. My friends have asked me multiple times why I'm a mormon. The answer is always the same. I have prayed about the Book of Mormon, the book that the prophet Joseph Smith translated through God's power and authority. Through prayer, I have found that Joseph Smith really is the prophet, that he did translate the Book of Mormon, and that anyone who decides to give that book a try, that they will know the truth of it, for it is from God, our Heavenly Father. I not only know that the church is true, but that as I strive to become more like Jesus Christ through his true church, that I am happy. Not just that feeling of excitement when something really awesome happens, but the feeling of comfort, peace, and joy that I get to have every time that I strive to live the gospel. There's not a day that goes by that I would ever doubt the gospel of Jesus Christ, for he is my savior, redeemer, and best friend. He's the perfect friend, for he never fails you. He's always there for you, even when you're alone. He WILL help me through all my trials, and that's so amazing to have someone like that everyday. Of course I'm not perfect, and I do make mistakes probably everyday, but I know that as I repent, or change, and try to live more like christ, that I can continue to have that feeling of peace and joy. I know to be true. So the question comes again and asks, "Why are you a mormon?" I say to you that it is because of the holy ghost bearing record to me that this is the true church, Christ's church. I know that through him, that I can be with my family forever and be able to live in the presence of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. To know that that can even be achievable is enough for me, and it should be for everyone. Everyone gets to choose what they want in their lives. Me? I choose Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. My name is Joshua, and I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I home-teach an amazing family with my awesome companion. My families that I teach are amazing. Not that they are perfect, for we all have things to work on, but I can truly say that they were the perfect ones for me to home-teach. I love them so much. Even though I go over there with my companion to teach them, I find out that they teach me more.
