Hi I'm Joseph

I like to go camping, play baseball and guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 5 siblings 2 older sisters, 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. I love music and outdoors activities. I like going to concerts for jam bands such as the Grateful Dead and Phish. I also like folk music such as Bob Dylan, CSN&Y, John Denver, Donovan and Cat Stevens. I love going camping with my family. From the 2 hour car ride, to the smell of a campfire, there is nothing quite like it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I did not always have a testimony though. I choose a different path during my teenage years. But, I know Heavenly Father and my family never stopped loving and caring about me. They were always there for me, even when I know I didn't deserve there help. Eventually, I hit the bottom. I didn't know what to do with my life. I decided to find out for myself if the church was true or not. Most, of the time, I receive answer through prayers over times, or Heavenly Fathers places individuals in my life to show me the way. After reading Joseph Smith account of the 1st vision and reading the promise at the end of The Book of Mormon in Moroni 10:3-5, I knew that it was true. The feeling is one that somebody can not simply put in words, but they need to experience for themselves. I invite all who have the opportunity to take this challenge and read and pray from these sacred verse of scripture. I can promise you, that you will receive a witness for yourself. That if you make this the rock of your life, it can bring blessing to you and your family and friends.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as much as I can. I know, when hard times come, there is nothing to help a person out more than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It, is always there for you. We will always have are challenges, were we fell like we are in a prison. But, it is so important to remember that there is one, who has felt all the pain and misery that we have. That is Jesus Christ the Son of God. He is there for us. Just, like in the New Testament story of Lazarus. When Martha came to Jesus Christ and told him, that her brother was dead. Before, Jesus Christ brought Lazarus back from the dead, he wept with Martha and Mary. I know that I want to be able to live my life as close as possible as to the Saviors, by serving those around me, weather they are my friends or not. We show where are heart truly is, when can still treat those with kindness, even when they are filled with anger and hate.
