Hi I'm Paige

I'm 20 years old, I report as a Missionary for the LDS Church on July 24th 2013, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I come from a big family consisting of my mom and dad, two wonderful people, and my six siblings. I am the sixth of seven kids. I studied ballet for six years and love dance of all kind. I also enjoy singing and acting, and i aspire to be a writer of children's books. I went to the Community College in my home town for a year and a half and studied photography. I am preparing to leave very shortly on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I can hardly wait to go!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have prayed to know if it is true, and a member of the Godhead has personally testified to me that it is indeed true. I know it! I have read the Book of Mormon for myself, and I know it to be true. It is full of the love and precepts of God and Jesus Christ, and it brings such a sweet, comforting spirit when you read it. I have felt my Saviors love, and I marvel at it! I am so unworthy of it so often because I am human, and I do have faults and I do make mistakes, but He loves me still and He has made it possible for me to overcome those ridiculous faults and foolish mistakes and to return, stainless and pure, into His presence! I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, as were Adam and Abraham and Moses of old, and that through him God restored the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth as it was organized in the New Testament account in the Bible. I know that we have a true prophet on the earth today with that same Priesthood authority as used by all of the prophets from ancient times, (President Thomas S. Monson) and that he is a man of God. I know that my Savior and Redeemer, my Lord and Exemplar, even Jesus Christ lives! I know it, and I anxiously look forward to the day when I can see Him again!

How I live my faith

I have had both the privilege and the responsibility of serving for my church in quite a few leadership positions, though I am still very young. I have been so blessed to be able to work very closely with the youth in the congregations in my home town. And now that I myself have recently graduated from the youth program (12-18 year olds) and moved up to the congregation known as the Young Single Adult Ward, I have yet again been entrusted with a leadership position over the women of this "ward" (congregation). It is a very humbling experience to hold such responsibility when you feel so inadequate for the task, but I try to fulfill my callings, and the Lord sees my efforts meager and, in my opinion pathetic, as they may be, and He blesses me for them. I am also 13 days away from becoming a full time missionary for the LDS Church. Which means that I will be inviting others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the holy Ghost and enduring to the end for a year and a half. I will leave my friends and family behind for a year and a half, travailing to a place that I am not familiar with, with only letters and the occasional email to keep in contact with my loved ones as i work all day every day for this purpose. It is hard work, but it will also be very rewarding work. It is both an honor and a privilege to Serve My Heavenly Father in this way, and I can hardly wait!

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe that the Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead along side God the Father and Jesus Christ, who are all one in purpose but three separate beings. The Holy Ghost is a being of spirit unlike God the Father or Jesus Christ, who have bodies of flesh and bone. This is so he can enter into our hearts and help and guide us. His mane mission as a member of the Godhead is to testify of God the Father and Jesus Christ. He does this through good thoughts and feelings that enter into our hearts when we hear truth. It very often feels like a warm swelling motion inside of you when he teaches, like the joy of what he is testifying of is too great to hold inside. But he may communicate a little differently to each individual. Show more Show less
