Hi I'm Takeshi Fuchigami

I was born in Hilo, Hawaii. I am a pilot, I love flying. I am also a Shodan (black belt) in Aikido. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I started training in Martial Arts when I was 3 years old, and have been training ever since. When I was 14, I became an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I think that camping and survival tactics are enjoyable and extremely useful skills to have. When I was 17 I earned my Private Pilot's Certificate, or Private Pilot's License. I have wanted to be a pilot since I was 13 years old. My current plan is to become a Fighter Pilot in the United States Marine Corps. On June 8, 2013 at the age of 18, I tested for my Shodan (black belt) in the Japanese martial art of Aikido, and passed! I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Japan Kobe Mission and I report to the MTC in Provo, UT on August 7th, 2013. I am excited about this because my Father served in the Japan Kobe Mission 25 years ago.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I have seen the power of the Gospel in my own life. The Gospel has blessed my life in every way I can think of. I have a testimony that I know this Church is true, and that this is God's own Church. It was restored to the Earth so that we could have the fullness of the Gospel in these Latter Days. God restored His Church to the Earth because it is necessary to have the fullness of the Gospel to return to live with our Heavenly Father for the eternities of time.

How I live my faith

Ever since I was 12 years old, I have held leadership responsibilities in the Church. I helped to organize activities, camp outs, fundraisers, and home teaching assignments.
