Hi I'm Lisa !

I'm Korean and Texan. I love spontaneous road trips. I play the ukulele. My favorite color is yellow. I'm a Mormon. :)

About Me

I am thankful every day for happiness, laughter, and the BLESSINGS we have in life! I love trying new things and going on adventures. I am fascinated with the Earth. I love camping, hiking, and stargazing... and I think animal documentaries are really awesome. I love hanging out with my family. :) I love music! I play a lot of instruments, and my favorite thing to do when I'm walking from place to place is put in my headphones and pretend I'm in a music video. I love art... and will one day paint a great big inspiring mural on a giant wall in the middle of a busy city. I'm the number one Harry Potter fan!! My life's ambition is to work at Hogwarts! But just in case that doesn't work out... I want to study Communication Disorders and go into Speech Pathology, so I can work with kids and serve others every day. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I was raised in the church by WONDERFUL parents who taught me the gospel and were amazing examples to me. But, I came to know of the truth for myself. Through prayer, study, and SEEKING to grow closer to my Father in Heaven, I received answers to my questions! When I didn't know what to do, I turned to Heavenly Father and He was there. He helped me through my trials and answered my prayers. I know, without a doubt in my heart, that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know he translated the Book of Mormon, which is true word of God. I know the full and everlasting gospel was restored on this Earth. I know these things because I've felt it... I've literally felt the power and truthfulness of it, and seen the blessings that come from it in my life and the lives of my loved ones. I can't express in words what this gospel means to me. It teaches me how to be more like Christ, helps me to know my Heavenly Father and Savior, gives me guidance, gives me comfort, and let's me KNOW that I am a precious daughter of God no matter what. Nobody is perfect, but its so comforting to know and FEEL that through our Savior Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven of all our sins and we can grow and become better every day. I know that Heavenly Father is there, that he knows us, and that he hears us. And I know EVERYBODY can feel of the truthfulness too... All you have to do is open your heart, kneel down, and ask Him.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by ACTING on it every day. Rather than just talking about it or saying it, I try to express my love for my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ by BEING the person they want me to be. So every day I strive to become a little more patient, loving, charitable... more like our perfect example, Jesus Christ, than I was the day before. I try to show them how grateful I am for my many blessings by letting my Father in Heaven shape me into the person He knows I can become, and by acting on what I know to be true. I also live my faith by trying to come closer to God every day through prayer, scripture study, and sharing my testimony with anyone I can. Faith is an action word. If we believe it, we do it.
