Hi I'm Alex

I live in Kaysville, Utah. I am the second of seven children. I run cross country and track. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am preparing to serve a mission in France and I leave in August. I will be going to BYU to run track and cross country on scholarship when I get back. I like to play all sports and have played 6 different sports competitively. I like math, especially statistics. I like to eat and I have eaten a large pepperoni pizza from Little Caesars by myself several times.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but eventually I decided I couldn't rely on my parents' or church leaders' testimonies, and knew I had to find out for myself if the Church was true. I prayed and expected to receive some kind of big revelation that it was true, but I didn't get one. I kept praying, fasting and hoping that I would receive an answer, and a thought came to my mind: "you already know that it is true." I realized that I wouldn't have tried that hard if I didn't believe it was true. I let that belief work in me and grow, and now instead of a hope I have grown a strong testimony that cannot be shaken. My testimony is built upon the firm foundation of Jesus Christ "wherein [I] cannot fall." I receive a witness that the Gospel is true every time I pray sincerely with a desire to receive an answer.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to serve a two-year mission to France. I home-teach three great families each month. I attend church every week and I try my best to help out the young men when they don't have enough to prepare/bless/pass the sacrament. I go to a mission prep class every Sunday morning before church to help prepare me for my mission.
