Hi I'm Lauren Jane

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love a good book, skiing, thunder storms, fur trees, watercolor painting, the piano, and hiking. I love traveling - whether it is a road trip to the redwoods or a flight to Austria.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel helps me to put direction and perspective in my life. Without the values and understanding instilled in me from the gospel I would be very lost and confused and with little hope for the future. Though I still have much to learn, through my small life I have gained a sure knowledge of my Savior Jesus Christ and of my loving Heavenly Father. When I diligently strive to have Christ, Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit in my life the future becomes bright. I am the first to admit that I often make thoughtless and idle mistakes, but I have faith in the power of His atonement. Everyday I can change and be better. In past trials I have trusted in Him, and He has carried me through. So I put my trust and faith in Him now. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have helped plan and orchestrate activities for other kids my age both in my ward and community. We have enjoyed things from a day kayaking to a Christmas Chili Night.

Are Mormons Christians?

Lauren Jane
"We are Christians in a very real sense and that is coming to be more and more widely recognized. Once upon a time people everywhere said we are not Christians. They have come to recognize that we are, and that we have a very vital and dynamic religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We, of course, accept Jesus Christ as our Leader, our King, our Savior...the dominant figure in the history of the world, the only perfect Man who ever walked the earth, the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer through whose atoning sacrifice has come the opportunity of eternal life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith and the head of our Church. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and witnesses of His divinity, His life, and His Atonement." - Gordon B. Hinckley A Christian is a believer of Jesus Christ and His teachings. And if that is the case then I am most definitely a Christian! I strive to live as Paul stated in Philippians 4:8 which reads, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."
