Hi I'm Audra Hughes

I grew up in Idaho. I love theater; the performing, the directing, the magic, all of it. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old and I have a B.S. in Theatre, with emphasis in Performance and Directing, as well as minors in Psychology and History. I started out school there seeking a degree in Sports Psychology and was on the softball team but later left to pursue my love of theater. I love the places that books, movies, music, art, and all other mediums can transport you somewhere new and make you feel things you don't usually feel. I am also in the process of preparing to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the fortunate opportunity to have been born into the gospel and the influence of wonderful leaders and teachers in my life. As I have grown in the gospel I have developed a testimony of my own and have become more aware of the many blessings in my life. There is a change that has overwhelmed me with joy because of the companionship I have developed with my Heavenly Father. There was a time after I had graduated form college that I had felt lost, I had a degree but what was I supposed to do next? My Bishop was inspired to invite me to his Temple Prep class, after the weeks of the class had concluded I was inspired to read the Book of Mormon. When I was near the end I became overwhelmed with the spirit, and I kept reading though I was not seeing the words, I was receiving the prompting to serve a mission. Heavenly Father has a plan, and we are all a part of it, and it is through his timing that we may be guided and directed to do his will and to draw closer to our true potentials of children of God. Why am I a Mormon? Because I know that I have a divine potential, as we all do, and I chose to live as a disciple of Christ and to testify of his love for his children so that we all may live with him again.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to become a better person than I was yesterday. Striving to live my life in a way that glorifies my Father in Heaven and the sacrifices he has made for us, searching the scriptures daily, keeping the commandments, renewing my covenants, and kneeling before him in humble prayer to give thanks for the many wonderful blessings in my life and asking him to guide and direct me to the things he wishes me to do. Seeking to serve others so that they might know his love for them.
