Hi I'm Crystal

I was born & raised in good ol' Las Vegas! I will serve a mission in Ciudad Juarez Mèxico! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love singing & dancing! It doesn't really matter to me if I'm a "fabulous" singer or dancer, it's fun to do & brings me happiness! I took a few college classes after I graduated, Psych 101 & College Algebra 124. I enjoyed it a lot, but after I decided to focus on finding a job and earning money towards serving a mission. I live in a part member, my mom is LDS and my dad doesn't have a current practiced religion, but he was raised Catholic. I'm also half Peruvian, half Caucasian! I love my family, even if I'm an only child & we have a small family it's a great one to be a part of! I'm a huge Harry Potter fan! I love Superhero movies, especially Marvel's! I report to the MTC October 16! I'm so beyond excited & grateful I have an opportunity to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I know I am a daughter of God-the greatest being ever. Which makes me feel pretty wonderful. And guess what? You're a child of God too. And He loves you more than you can imagine.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member for my whole life, baptized at 8, but I didn't always have a testimony. I became inactive during most of my teenage years, but when I was 17 I wanted to know why I was here, what my purpose in life was, and what was going to happen after I passed on, which has always been such a scary thought for me. I always knew what the church believed in, but I never tried to gain a testimony of it. So I started to become more active at church, going to more of the activities, paying more attention at church, and I prayed like I've never prayed before. I've developed my own testimony & it's still growing strong like a flame inside of me. Our God is so merciful allowing us to repent, to become clean, and to enter into His kingdom again to live with Him forever. He knows how we all will make mistakes coming to this earth, He still wants us to go, make those mistakes & wants us to act on our faiths to return to Him. He truly loves all of us. It's sometimes so hard to imagine, but with God's power he has the ability to love us. He knows us, for our strengths & weaknesses, and He loves us regardless because we're His children. Remember that He loves you just as much as He loves the next person! I know for a fact, with all of my heart, soul, body, mind, and might that this is the true church of God. He had Joseph Smith restore the true church on this earth again because it was the right person at the right time.

How I live my faith

I love my ward so much! We have so many activities (Family Home Evening, Institute, Ward dinners, camping activities! By the way, I'm In a singles ward, where it's all 18-30 year old's.) I'm a ward missionary and it's such a great experience! We get to work with the sister missionaries in our ward, and they have such great spirits and testimonies that just get me excited to serve as not only a missionary, but as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Planning on serving a mission would be a way of living my faith. I wouldn't be leaving my family for 18 months, to go to a foreign country, to teach the Gospel, if I didn't have a testimony of it. I know The Church is true. I've also made it a personal goal to find the beauty in everyone. No matter who they were, whether they were a close friend, or a stranger down the street, I wanted to see what God see's in His children. Also, I wanted to see the beauty in my brother's and sister's. I try my hardest to be like Jesus, following in His ways, to serve, and love everyone. Not only that, but I try my best to be a representative of Him. Not only for investigators, but for my daddy. I love him so much, and I really want him to see and feel the joy the restored gospel has brought to my life. I want to share it with him, and I know one day he will accept the gospel, I just have to trust in the Lord's timing.
