Hi I'm Gayle Haux

I grew up in California. I sew clothes for my daughters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love creating special projects and clothes for my 6 girls. Their smiles make me smile. I love digging into Family History. Every time I work on a family member they come alive through my digging I love American Sign Language. What I learned long ago has stayed with me and as I teach my daughters a sign or learn a song. I truly find beauty in my fingers I love family. I have a wonderful husband who works by my side and strengthens me and our girls as we work, play, and dream together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and have always believed that it was true. When my 1st daughter was born, there were challenges getting her here. In that challenge I found that I was truly going to church for myself. Going to church made me happy, bought peace, gave me strength, and direction every day. I am here because I know the teachings are true and they bless my life every day.

How I live my faith

Every day there are choices to be made. The choices I make show in the choices my daughters make. That helps me to be better every day. How I live starts at home. This has helped me to be aware of the things I watch, the books I read, the places I go, and the way I dress. Helping them be the best they can be helps me to be the that way too. Making the choice to be closer to God blesses my life every day.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Gayle Haux
Many years ago I was given the a quote that talked about how if we were all the same color the world would be very boring. Differences bring so much to life. As a woman I try to use the difference that God gave me to bless others and use the differences of others to help become better. Along with the thought that we need our differences, we also need balance. To me equality means balance. Balance of the gifts of men and women to create a whole. This whole brings us together and towards God. I am thankful everyday for the ideas, thoughts, and approach my husband brings to our relationship. He in turn has told me what a blessing my ideas thoughts and approach is to him. I am grateful for the balance God gave us through men and women. Show more Show less
