Hi I'm Jordan Fox

I grew up in Elk Grove, California, from a family of 4 kids and I love sports. Oh yeah, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love to play sports and just completed my first year of college. I love talking to people about the gospel and being able to share what I know with them. I am always seeking to learn more and gain additional knowledge of the gospel. I am currently serving my mission in the Michigan Detroti Mission. I have learned so much from my short time on my mission so far. Every day it is a blessing to share my testimony with those around me. I absolutely love sports so every chance I get I am seeing how my teams are doing. My faith is strong and it keeps me going on my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I grew up in the church. However, I was never one to willingly go to church as my mother had asked so many times. I would constantly fight it and hide in the car during the church. Because of this, I was not baptized at the age of 8. As time went on I still did not have a testimony of the church and became discouraged. I wanted to feel what my friends were feeling and know what they knew to be true. So at the age of 14 I started to read the Book of Mormon and gain that testimony that my friends all seemed to have. Later that year, I along with my younger brother and sister, were able to be baptized by my older brother. Whenever I struggle I always think back to that wonderful day, and remember the covenants that I made with the Lord and how amazing I felt as I was lifted from the baptismal waters. After much contemplation and a great example set by my older brother, I decided that I would embark on a mission. Though hard at times, it has been a great experience and has helped me to grow and learn much about myself and the gospel. This is why I am a Mormon. The gospel blesses my life immensely and has given my family such a tight bond. That is why I am here on my mission; to give people that same joy and happiness that I have felt in my life. I want everyone to be happy.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary in the Michigan Detroit Mission and living my faith by going out and serving the Lord. I study the scriptures each and every day to help my testimony to grow strong. I know that studying the scriptures diligently will help me in my life immensely; as I search the scriptures I know that any questions or concerns that I may have can and will be answered through the scriptures if I have the faith that an answer will come. I also live my faith by serving the Lord at every opportunity I get. I know that it is easy to say that I am serving while on my mission because that is what we do all day everyday. But I am not only serving those on my mission, but I also strive to serve those at home also. By either challenging them to do missionary work, or just helping out with any needs they may have and giving them encouragement to keep going. I try to show every day by example that I am a disciple of Christ and represent his church. This is how I live my faith.
