Hi I'm Graham Bowden

I'm Canadian, and a missionary in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Even though we have many feet of snow most of they year, and it is bitterly cold all the time I love it there. I am lucky enough to get a 2 year escape from the weather though, as I am currently serving a full-time mission in Sacramento, California.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is true. I have come to a knowledge that this is the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and because I know this how could I not be a Mormon? I know that because I am a faithful member of this church that my life is so much better than it ever could be if I wasn't. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true church on the earth, and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by exercising it. There is an idea that if you have a testimony, or you know the gospel is true, that everything is easy. It is not. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life and have always believed it is true, but that doesn't mean that the gospel is easy for me to live. I always have questions and concerns, hard times and doubt. But it is my faith that keeps me strong. Acting upon the faith that I do have is the way that Heavenly Father comforts and helps me, not by sitting idle and waiting for an answer or help. I have overcome these problems, and continue to by acting upon the things I do know are right. Being at church every Sunday, keeping God's commandments, studying my scriptures, praying, serving a mission, these are all the things that have helped me overcome the challenges of living the gospel, and I know that it is because I am faithful in these things that I have been strengthened.
