Hi I'm Jeffrey Craft

I'm a Portlandian. I'm a Rock Climber. I'm a Wakeboarder. I'm an Uncle. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jeffrey Craft. I have been serving a mission in the Oakland/San Francisco mission since July of 2013. My mission has been a very sacred time in my life and I hope to be able to help others come closer to Jesus Christ. My family is a huge support to me while I am in my mission. I am the youngest in my family. I have 3 older brothers and 1 sister. My sister is the oldest and all my siblings are married. My 3 brothers all served missions and I am following in the legacy of their faith. I know that this gospel is true. I am going to dedicate the rest of my life to the Church of Jesus Christ. After my mission I plan on going into engineering and business management to one day own my own engineering company. All the while faithfully serving in whatever callings the Lord requires of me. I am a missionary, Athlete, Patriot. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church is what makes me happy. This church is why I have everything good in my life. One of the main things my church teaches is family. I know that through this church I have come closer to my family. I have been lifted up by my friends and family due to this teaching. I love Christ for his sacrifice. I love him and hope that everyone comes to learn of this same truth. That he loves us too.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving as a full time missionary. We do 24/7 missionary service for two years and then dedicate the rest of our lives to continue to spread the gospel as members of Christ's church. As missionaries we dedicate two years and live a life of consecration giving all that we have to the Lord and His church. I also live my faith by holding strong to my values no matter the circumstances. Always following the commandments to be the Lords servants.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jeffrey Craft
Mormons believe the Bible to be the word of God. We also believe that the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price are the word of God. Matthew 18:16 says "...That in the mouth of two or more witnesses every word may be established." In 2 Corinthians 13:1 it also says "...In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." Show more Show less
