Hi I'm Margaret

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am a mother of 8 children and have 25 grandchildren and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a returned missionary, having just completed an 18 month mission with my husband in the Washington DC Temple Visitors' Center. We have eight children and twenty-five grandchildren. Family is the most important part of my life. They bring such happiness to me. We love the way they interact together. Our best friends are our kids and grand kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. As a young girl I had the opportunity of visiting the Sacred Grove in New York state where a young 14 year old boy, Joseph Smith sought the Lord in prayer regarding which church to join. I felt the Spirit of the Lord there and knew that Joseph Smith had actually prayed to God and He and His Son, Jesus Christ had actually appeared to this young boy. I know that Joseph Smith followed the direction of our Lord and restored His full gospel on the earth again. I am blessed with this sure knowledge. I know that I am a daughter of God and lived with Him before I came to earth. I chose to follow God's plan of redemption through His Son and my elder brother, Jesus Christ. I have felt His love and comfort many, many times in my life and I strive every day to have His Spirit with me.

How I live my faith

I love serving the Lord in whatever opportunity may come my way. I have served the women of our church in many callings, but love teaching them in our women's class each Sunday. I love the youth of this church. They are so strong and know they are sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. I love teaching them during their class time on Sundays as well. Recently serving as a missionary at the Washington DC Visitors' Center was a treat. I was able to work with 28 beautiful young women also serving as missionaries. They have a light that radiates their love for their Lord. I have been active in the Chamber of Commerce over the years and have had many opportunities to share my beliefs through word and example. The non-members of our church watch us and we must continually show what we believe through our example.
