Hi I'm Jill Qi Wang

I'm a South Jordan UT native. My School, Family and Life are a fantastic glorious adventure, and I'm a Mormon!!!

About Me

I'm an Asian American from Utah where life is fantastic and home is sweet. I have a drive for studying and learning everything I can get my hands on. I love my home, friends, teachers and leaders, and there is nothing I love more than being among the chaos and fun of family. They are my everything. I get a thrill from sharing my love for Jesus Christ in the California San Diego Mormon Battalion Historic Site Mission; and I get to share it in Chinese! Language, Art and Music are my passions. I love living the great adventure of life to the fullest. I am proud to claim the legacy of two rich cultures as my heritage. And I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up with the gospel all my life. I don't really know how it feels to be without it but I know I would be lost in life if I didn't have it. This gospel means everything to me. My life could never be better. I am so incredibly grateful, so full of joy and thanksgiving to my father for all the blessings he has granted me; for all the knowledge and joy I have been given through the gospel to know him; to know who my Savior is and what he went through for me so that I can return to live with them and my family again is the most precious peace and comfort. I am so grateful for everything that the gospel has taught me. Because of it, I know exactly who I am and why I am here. I know that I am a precious child of God who loves me, and I love him. The principles of this gospel have taught me how to overcome life's trials. It has taught me to turn to my Savior in times of hardship and sadness. I look forward the challenges of life so that I can continue to turn to the gospel to learn how to overcome and conquer them because I know they are there to make me a stronger person. I feel the biggest blessing I have received from this gospel is having absolute peace. Despite all the trials and sadness I have seen in during my life, I have been blessed to continue to have joy and optimism about the future because through Christ and his gospel, I know everything is going to be okay in the end. Everything wrong will be made right. Although I have seen and gone through things that could have been so hard, so sad, I have been blessed to feel happiness and joy. I feel as though I could never ask for a better life than what I have had. I feel so incredible lucky with everything the Lord has blessed me with. This gospel makes me happy. I have such a love and enthusiasm for living life to the fullest because of it. I want to enjoy every moment. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and his love for all Gods children is immeasurable. I know God lives and loves me.

How I live my faith

As a lifelong member of the church I have enjoyed and loved actively participating in the church programs from achievement days as an 8 year old to mutual as a teenager. I loved seminary and I love institute. I feel showing faith requires action. Because of my personal witness and experience of the power of the scriptures and words of the living prophet I study them often and thoroughly, going often to prayer to get the answers to my questions. I believe the great key to developing love, compassion, humility and tenderness is through service. I want to serve my Heavenly Father and his children by diligently working in the California San Diego Mission at the Mormon Battalion Historic site. I want to help all I meet to feel and understand the Savior's love for them and to understand this incredible journey of life we are all on. I yearn for all to feel joy, happiness and peace knowing that Heavenly Father loves all his children. I want everyone to find, feel and remember what we all once knew as brothers and sisters of a Heavenly Family before this life. I have a firm belief in our potential to become like our Father, so giving my all for my call to serve is the most important way I can do that and I know blessings will come from anything I have to sacrifice or change as I strive to make myself a better, stronger person so I can serve others better and help them feel the love of their Savior and Heavenly Father. I can see the change in my own life from serving and how it is preparing me for the future, changing me into a more christ-like daughter of God and making me better prepared to take on all the challenges and adventures that still await me.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Jill Qi Wang
God is the Father of our souls and we are his children created in his image. We have been given physical bodies of flesh and bone so we can reach our full potential to become just like him. We can fully use the opportunity he gave us in this life to accomplish this goal if we rely on the Atoning sacrifice and grace of our brother, Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. As our Father in Heaven he loves us perfectly and beyond anything we could imagine so he has given us this time on earth to enjoy, grow and become stronger than before so we be able to return and live with him and our families again after this life.
