Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up as a Baptist in Texas. I was searching for what the Lord wanted me to do. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Aaron, I was born and raised in the great state of Texas. I grew up as a Baptist with a strong Christian family who were completely dedicated to their faith and set the stepping stones to the faith that I have now. After high school I left and joined the Navy and served on a submarine while I was stationed in Washington. After I served I moved back to Texas and started college, but that's when I seeking for the truth in what I believed and it came to me when I was least expecting it. The second that I started hearing about the gospel and the church I knew it was true and I took the missionary lessons and got baptized. Now I'm waiting to leave to go and serve a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Moroni 10:3-5 are the very first verses that I had ever read from the Book of Mormon, but the second that I did read those verses I knew it to be true. My favorite part of those verses is how it just plainly says if you pray with a sincere heart then Heavenly Father will give you an answer, and that's exactly what happened for me. But not only reading the Book of Mormon and praying and taking the missionary lessons reasons to me becoming Mormon. I also had a firm testimony of our Heavenly Fathers timing and planning for each one of us on an individual basis. I know all the things that led up to me getting baptized, no one other than Heavenly Father could have planned that out the way he did. From meeting a family so strong in their faith and setting an amazing example, to meeting a guy who wasn't even supposed to be there and him sharing the gospel with me and me knowing what he was saying to be true, to taking the missionary lessons at his nieces house who lived in the same town that I was going college in, to the missionaries that taught me. And so much more than that, but I know that no one other than Heavenly Father could have planned it so perfectly, and my testimony of our Heavenly Father is amazing because of all that. Its so much more than I could ever truly explain as to why I am Mormon, but that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Since I have been baptized, I have strived to live my faith in a daily bases whether it be by reading my scriptures or saying my prayers but also by doing anything that will strengthen my faith or build my testimony. It all comes down to every little thing for me from how I interact with others to serving people or serving in my roles for church. Also attending church activities has a lot to do with building my faith. So going to church on Sunday and family home evening on Monday and attending institute on Wednesday all give me the opportunity to grow but also to demonstrate my faith and even giving me the opportunity to teach others. I believe that the only way to live your faith is to do it all day, every day.
