Hi I'm Jacob Ferrell

I like music. I like sport. I'm an IronMan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from high school class of 2013, and left for a mission that summer. I play guitar and piano. I have always loved the outdoors, and I try to keep active whenever I can. I play basketball, golf, and love to triathlon! In May 2013 I became an IronMan. Swedish Fish are the best. My family lives in Kaysville, UT. I'm in England for now, I'll be at BYU in the fall.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon wasn't really a choice for me as a little kid because that's the way that I was raised by my parents and the community in general... But the older I get the more and more I realize how valuable it is to have that positive direction in your life to keep you working towards the greatest thing you could ever receive; eternal life. I am a Mormon for many reasons. It makes me happy, the Spirit and teachings bring me comfort, and the lifestyle you are directed to life and the standards you are encouraged to live by make you a person that nearly everybody respects, which has so many up-sides I couldn't even begin to explain. At the end of the day, I know the church is true, and I know that it is what makes me happy every single day.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the England Birmingham mission, trying as best as I can to share the Gospel. I've really found that it's the simple things - reading the scriptures, praying with all my heart, and serving - that really help me to get closer to God. Every day it's a struggle between my natural tendancies and what I know God wants me to do, but I'm trying to be the best that I can. I love what Henry B. Eyring said "I can’t be a perfect servant every hour, but I can try to give more effort than I thought I could."
