Hi I'm Chelsea

I love learning. I'm half Finnish. I'm a life-long volunteer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have played piano since I was about 4 and along the way have also picked up violin, guitar, and a little organ. Music is a great part of my life and who I am. I also enjoy photography and taking pictures of landscapes. I have been going to college for the past year but now I'm home for summer break and about to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a relatively non-relgious area where many of my friends were not religious, I would end up asking myself, why am I a member of this church? And I would always arrive at the same conclusion, because I know it's true. It has been manifested to me in many ways. Small things that remind me, daily, of His investment in me and my happiness. I often find myself reflecting on how full of joy and miracles my life has been and how empty it would have been without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His gospel provides so many answers and hope and clarity to a world that is so confusing and at times, overwhelming. I will always be grateful for His restored gospel and the innumerable blessings I have received and continue to receive living righteously as a member of His church.

How I live my faith

Before I left for college I would play piano for the choir, I did that for many years. I also helped on several youth committees to plan and organize events for other youth. During college I acted as a historian by recording the different events that young adults participated in, put on by our ward. I also served as a "mother" for our family home evening group, which means that I would help plan activities for our group to do every monday evening. Now, I serve as a ward missionary.
