Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a singer who loves the outdoors, fitness, sports, making people laugh, and being spontaneous. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Josh, I am 18 years old and am currently serving a full two year mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Maceio, Brazil. I love sports including football, basketball, baseball and soccer. Music is also my passion and I love to sing, act and play guitar. Schooling wise, I love science and learning about the simplistic aspects and complexities of how things work. I enjoy my outgoing and spontaneous lifestyle and have never been afraid to be myself. The gospel has been the greatest knowledge I have ever come to have in my life and it is my duty to invite others to share the happiness and love I feel from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a strong testimony of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and can not wait live the rest of my life with the Lord at the forefront.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have been asked this question many times: "Why are you a Mormon?". Until now I had always used a generic answer. Through preparing for my mission and many personal and spiritual experiences that life gave me, I came to find a true and profound answer. I am a Mormon because I know that my father in heaven wants me to be. Praying with earnest intent and sincere desire to know what the truth is helped me find it here. I have never felt as close to the Lord, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Being a member of the Latter-Day Saint church makes me a better person and prevents me from making a lot of mistakes. I have a personal relationship with my Savior that I know I could not have anywhere else. I want to be as close to the Lord as possible and I know I can achieve that through living by Christ's example, obeying the commandments and being a faithful Latter-Day Saint. Eternal Life with my family, friends, and most importantly, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will come through the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I participate in my community in many ways. I became an Eagle Scout at the age of 16 and have learned about the community and helped out in any way I could, including service projects like community trash clean ups and help with non-profit organizations such as The Spirit Horse Foundation which helps mentally and physically abused as well as mentally and physically disabled children find a love and comfort through riding horses and creating friendships with the other riders and employees. I helped my church by being the ward choir director. I found a lot of joy in this calling because for me, I feel the spirit especially through music. Now I serve the Church and Jesus Christ by being a full-time missionary in the Maceio, Brazil Mission, Portuguese speaking. Specifically, helping people in my ward is as simple as having a smile on my face and showing my care for other members with service and friendship. I try to express my love for each and every single one of them because I would hope for the same thing in return.
