Hi I'm Jeroen

I grew up in the Netherlands, I love to make music and I'm into freerunning, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

At the moment I am serving in the England Manchester mission, the best mission in the world. Before my mission I finished my school and after my mission I will probably study chemistry. I used to be into music a lot, I play the piano, guitar and ukelele. I also liked making electronic music like house, electro and dubstep. You can find me on youtube under the name; Mr. Melon. Don't ask me about the name... I also used to do freerunning and I will continue doing it after my mission, but right now I'm focused on doing the Lord's work.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents never forced me to go to church, it was always my own decision. When I was about 14 years old I started reading the Book of Mormon seriously. But it was three years that I received my witniss that it was true. I guess I was too eager to get some overwhelming feeling of the spirit or to hear a voice to tell me that it was true. And to be honest I wasn't always actively reading. But when I was about seventeen, I said to God that I was willing to wait for His time to receive my testimony, and that was the moment when I felt the spirit really testifying that the Book of Mormon was true. After that I couldn't deny it. Even though it was hard sometimes to stay true to my faith, and sometimes I wished that I didn't know that it was true, because that ment that I knew some decisions that I had to make had to be made according to Gods will and not my own. But choosing for the Lord has never given me any regrets, you can never regret having made the right decision.

How I live my faith

I have been going to church my entire life. I obey the commandments, even though that can be quite hard, being the only member in my school and almost none of my friends are mormons. But even though everybody around me lived to entirely diffrent standards than me, I still managed to stay true to my faith, because I know this will lead me to eternal happiness. In church I was a gospel principles teacher, so I used to teach a lot of investigators before my mission. Teaching lessons as a missionary is diffrent though. I also used to be the ward pianist.
