Hi I'm Claire McKinlay

I'm passionate about hiking. I hope to become a nurse someday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19-years-old and the youngest of 5 kids, 4 girls, 1 boy. They all say I'm spoiled, but I'm the one who has to do ALL of their chores now. I'm not spoiled. I play the violin, piano, mandolin, and ukulele. I played soccer while growing up, but stopped because I joined my high school's Student Council. I love the outdoors, and especially hiking. I'm in college right now, working towards becoming a nurse. Life hasn't exactly turned out the way I'd planned, but I'm trying to keep the faith and trust in Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

Every aspect of this gospel rung true to me. I was raised as an active member in this gospel, but I do learn new things everyday and everything in this gospel feels familiar to my soul. It rings true. This church is centered around Christ and also around the family. There is a reason we were sent to this earth to live in families. They are of eternal significance. God exists that we might have happiness, and the only way we can have true happiness is to live with Him in our families for eternity. I know that's true.

How I live my faith

I've worked a lot with the youth in my community. I teach them and work a lot with them outside of church to try and help them realize the importance of the gospel and family. I've also worked a lot with the women in my community. It's so empowering to meet as a group of women with the same standards and you and worship and praise our Savior, Jesus Christ.
