Hi I'm Annelise

I was born and raised a small town farm girl. I'm currently a student at BYU studying biology, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised on a small farm in a small town. I love being outdoors. Whether it's hiking, camping, canoeing, if it's an outdoor adventure, I most likely love doing it! I love Disney with a passion and especially enjoy sharing that love with my close friends. My favorite princess is Rapunzel and she is one of my many role models! I am currently a college freshman studying biology. I have been blessed with many fantastic friendships and a wonderful family. Spending time with them is one of the greatest pleasures in my life. I have a borderline obsession with sweaters, my favorite colors are green and blue, and I love ice cream, beyond all belief! I have an immense appreciation for good chicken alfredo! I love the beach, road trips, and long conversations with friends. I love having personal dance parties (or sharing them with my two younger sisters), jamming to Michael Bublé, and laughing with good friends. I love this gospel and I love the opportunities it has provided for me. I would be nowhere near where I am now without it! I'm off to great places! Today is my day. My mountain is waiting, and with my Heavenly Father by my side I'll be on my way!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I can look back on my life and see how the Lord has blessed me. When I do that, I cannot deny the gospel of Jesus Christ. I cannot deny His life, His Atonement, or the fact that He is living today. I am a Mormon because I know that my Savior lives and loves me. I know that His gospel is true. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints only helps to increase my faith. By being a Mormon, I have learned where I am from, what my purpose in this life is, and where I am going. I have an eternal destination. Simply stated, I am a Mormon because I have pondered, prayed, and studied what I have been taught, and I cannot deny truth.

How I live my faith

I haven't yet had any great opportunities to serve, like a mission or ward calling. However, I believe I live my faith, simply by following the commandments and being an example to those around me. This last year I was chosen from my high school to serve with twenty-three other girls as service ambassadors for our county. It's a unique organization that I served for and out of all of the people involved only three of us were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The three of us were examples to many children in our county, but also to the other girls that were involved. We often had to explain to them our standards and had to stand up for them. I live my faith by doing my best to be an example to those around me. I strive to live righteously and pray that those around me see the blessings that come from that obedience.
