Hi I'm Raini

I am from Arizona, soccer is my passion, I love North Carolina and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play sports, soccer is my favorite thing to do! I generally love the outdoors and staying active. I attend the University of Arizona and I served a full time mission in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the privilege of being born into this wonderful church. Some may think that this is an advantage because you grow up learning the gospel. But there have been points in my life where my testimony and beliefs were tested and I was able to realize why I really do believe the things I have been taught all those years. Growing up I always seemed to be friends with more non-members than members. I stayed strong in what I was taught, and held tight to the standards expected of me. Many look at those standards and think how restricting they are, but I can testify that living in a way that is pleasing to our Heavenly Father and believing in our Savior and the sacrifice He made for each of us is more rewarding than restricting. We can be so much more happy if we do the things that God wants us to. He loves each and every one of us so much and He wants us all to be able to return to live with Him one day. Doing things the Lords way always pay off even if they don't make sense at the time. I know that I have saved myself a lot of hurt and sadness in my life by having high standards. I love this church!

How I live my faith

I am serving in the Raleigh North Carolina mission as a full time missionary! I teach all day, every day to those who need help strengthening their faith in Jesus Christ. I as well am able to strengthen my faith each time I teach someone and invite them to follow Him because I put a lot of personal preparation before I go into a lesson and teach. I study the scriptures each day with a question in mind to help me understand exactly what it is God expects of me, and how I can do those things. I pray- I talk with my Heavenly Father, and ask Him for His guidance. And with that guidance, and with the mistakes I make every single day, I learn how to be a little bit better. I am striving to become like Him.. and I feel that in doing so, I am living my faith because that is the universal message we are trying to share- is that we can change! and we can become something infinitely better that what we are right now because of Christ.
