Hi I'm Rick

I grew up in Georgia. I'm a musician and coach volleyball. And I saved the best for last, I am a Mormon!

About Me

With music, I compose scores for TV and Film. I have also done everything from writing jingles for companies to writing and producing songs for main stream artists. With sports, I'm an active volleyball player. I play competitive beach volleyball in my beautiful beach side community of Huntington Beach. I arrange my schedule to where I play a few times a week. If I'm not playing volleyball, then I'm out in the waves on my stand up paddle board. I love cars. One of my hobbies is to buy old classic cars. Currently I have a 1966 Corvette Convertible. It's a beauty! I come from a big family with amazing roots in the gospel. I cherish my family and so thankful for them in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ is the only place that has given me answers to all of my questions about life and how to most successfully survive it! Jesus taught that by their fruits ye shall know them. The fruits of the church are evidence enough for me to know it's true. The fruits of the church have helped solidify my belief that I'm on the right path. Glass empty or glass half full? Glass half full!! God has put me through some tough schooling and now I look at the positive in everything. I'm thankful for my trials because they are designed to make me more like my Heavenly Father if I learn from them. We do have a creator and he loves us. He wants us to know more about him so we can be closer to him. He provided Jesus Christ as our Mediator to him and it is only through Christ that we can be back with our Heavenly Father again. I invite everyone that is curious about my faith to do some research and judge for yourself if you see the fruits of the gospel flourishing in this church.

How I live my faith

Some of my callings in church lately have been teaching the young men ages 14-16. We go on campouts a lot and other fun outdoor adventures together. I also play the piano for priesthood meeting and sometimes play the organ in sacrament meeting.
