Hi I'm Megan

I am a teenager from Idaho. I'm a Mormon, and I love it! :)

About Me

In my family I am the oldest of 5 kids and I'm in my senior year of high school. I'm a very outgoing person and I really just love to be around people. One of my interests is photography. Right now I have a job at a local Pizza Hut as a server... it's awesome :). I also love volunteer work: preschools, libraries, church functions, yard work, giving rides, you name it!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been in the church all my life and I love it so much. Often times, people will ask me why I like being a Mormon, after all, we do have numerous 'rules' to follow; such as modesty, no alcohol, clean language, appropriate media, etc. However, each of these standards helps me live a safer, and literally more free life. Because of these standards I feel good about my body, I am free from addiction, my mind isn't clouded with shady scenes, and many more benefits. I also love that the peace that this church brings into my life. Because I have been taught about my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, all my life, I have experienced Their love for me. To know that we have a God who knows and loves us is...beyond words. I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for me. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for me so that I can live with Him AGAIN. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book, directly from God. It has helped me grow so much closer to my Savior. I also know that Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the earth today and following His council can bring us so much happiness. Again, I LOVE this gospel. :) I write these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I am one of four youth family history consultants. We help the youth find names to take to the temple, a place where families are brought together and can be sealed for all eternity. It is a very humbling work. I also try to go out with the sister missionaries whenever I can. They are awesome! And sharing the gospel, sharing the Savior, with others in probably the most rewarding experience I have ever had. I live my faith by finding opportunities as school, or pretty much anywhere, to serve someone or lift them up a little higher. Sometimes it's even just by smiling at someone or saying hello. :)
