Hi I'm Chad

I write poetry, love to listen to music, read, and play video games. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Chad, and this is a little bit more about me. I spent my whole childhood in Oklahoma, and hadn't really seen much of the world other than flat farm land. People around this area have respected my religion for the most part, but growing up being only one of two youth in the church was hard. You only had one other person to look to for right choices and when they faltered, you felt really alone. I had to learn to rely on Heavenly Father and other friends who shared similar beliefs in order to get through high school. But I knew I wanted a better fit for my life. So I put out only one application for college: BYU. I prayed that I would get in, and be able to meet more people in the church my age, and see more of the world. And I did. I got in, had two roommates who became my best friends, saw mountains that weren't in pictures, and most importantly grew in the gospel. Going to BYU gave me a better perspective on what life could really be if you followed the teachings of Christ and used your agency in the right ways.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for many things, but the biggest one for me is morals. No matter what you believe, morals always reflect and show to everyone your true character, and the church through its teachings of Christ, will help you keep your standards and morals high, so that no one can tear down your desire to be a good person. I also believe that Christ would teach to more than just one group of people if we are all children of Christ. To say that one area is more important than another is not an attribute of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my actions, because actions always speak louder than any words I can put on here. I watch my language, I avoid lying, I don't steal, ect. I do my best to follow the teachings of Christ in all things I do, whether I'm in church, or in my house. I teach the youth in the church, and help out with youth activities. I plan on being a missionary for the church within the following days.
