Hi I'm Ashley

I grew up in Kansas. I love the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I went to a very small high school where I was the only Mormon. I was very active in clubs and sports but everyone knew I wouldn't be at the gym for a shoot around on Sunday. My parents have six kids and we would do a lot outside. We raised cattle and played on the land a lot. We would hike, fish, ride four-wheelers, shoot, swim or float down the river. I went to college three hours away and went home often to spend time with my family and visit friends. I love my big family and am so grateful that we enjoy being together! After I graduated college I moved to California. It's a different life but my favorite Saturdays are spent on the beach in the sun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family that already had the gospel. We went to church every Sunday and had family prayer and scripture reading. I was baptized when I was 8 and I remember being taught that I had to be accountable for the choices I made. I have a testimony of the Savior's love. I know that he suffered for our sins and sorrows and died for us so that we could repent and live with Him again. I have gotten through many hard times with the comfort of the spirit and feel that as an extension of God's love.

How I live my faith

I've heard that the most important word in the scriptures is 'remember'. We don't have to have a great memory, I stay true to my faith by remembering the simple truths of the gospel. I try to follow Jesus Christ. I know that if I keep the commandments and remember the Lord, I am the most happy and will be blessed for doing what's right. The rest falls into place. We learn from Christ to be honest, charitable, humble, and can always learn more about God's ways and His plan for us.
