Hi I'm Megan

I am from Utah. I'm called to serve in the Mexico Tuxtla Gutierrez mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school and am preparing to serve a mission. I was involved in drumline and percussion ensemble. Also, I threw discus and shot put in track and field for two years. When I have free time, I enjoy playing piano and banjo. I love playing basketball. A couple other hobbies are unicycling, drawing (I'm not very good though), and listening to music. I have a wonderful family and am close to everyone in it. I have an older brother, older sister, and a younger sister. We often have family outings, like going hiking, skiing, or repelling. My sisters and I enjoy doing each other's nails and hair. My little sister and I have contests to see who can make a fancier mini meal. She's one of my best friends. My brother went on a mission to New York City and he's been very supportive of my decision on going on a mission and often helps me with my preparation. My parents are very caring and have happily married for almost 25 years. I'm grateful to be able to live with both of them.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are very strong in the gospel, so I've always been encouraged to live it's teachings. I haven't had any doubts about this church until recently when I stopped reading scriptures. It's extremely important to read the scriptures and work to have more faith. It can be hard sometimes, but wouldn't be as worthwhile if it was easy. I know that this church is true and it brings me so much happiness. I would be absolutely lost without it. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really do care about us individually and I often feel their love for me. I know that living the gospel will help us with our struggles, no matter what they are. It gives me so much more hope than I would otherwise have. Our prophet, President Monson, really is God's messenger and gives us council that helps us live the way God would want us to. I feel so blessed to be a part of this church.

How I live my faith

Every week, I go to church and used to be president in my class. In order to become a better teacher, I go to a missionary preparation class on Sunday mornings. In order to stay strong in the gospel, I read scriptures every day. Having good friends really helps me want to become a better person and a better church member. I try to live faithfully day to day and hopefully will help represent this church in a positive way.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Megan
In order to increase our faith, it is important to read the Book of Mormon or other scriptures everyday because it testifies of Jesus Christ. I have found answers to my questions by reading the scriptures and know that anyone seeking answers can find them. Show more Show less
