Hi I'm Eric

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I am in the United States Marine Corps. I served a mission in Australia. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a proud parent of two beautiful daughters, and a grateful husband to a loving and beautiful wife. I am slowly getting through collage and I am an active duty Marine. I love to play sports especially football and martial arts. I wasn't fully converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until I was about 18. I read the Book of Mormon which taught me about Jesus Christ and His love for me. As I continuted to learn about Jesus Christ I had a desire to share that love with everyone else. I served a full time mission in Australia and had an amazing time watching the Gospel of Jesus Christ change the lives of so many people. I love serving my country and I really love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided to become an active member of the Church when I was 18 years old. I was looking for what my purpose was in life. The first thing I did was pray, after I prayed I read the Book of Mormon. It was while i was reading this book that I felt the Holy Spirit. It was the book of Mormon that led and helped me understand the teachings of the Holy Bible. I also felt God's love for me and I began to understand how living the Gospel of Jesus could bring purpose and understanding to my life. My life began to change for the better gradually and I noticed that while I was living the principles of the Gospel and doing away with old habits that I truely began to feel happy in my life. I had finally made a real connection with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I decided to serve a mission and preach the Lord's gospel to others. I have literally seen the Gospel change not only my life but many other lives as well. And it all comes from the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. This really is His church. And I know that with all my heart. The invitation to have your life changed for the better is open to all people. God loves us all, and he wants us all to be happy. I have lived the teachings of this church and have found true and lasting happiness, and that is why I choose to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church in various ways. As we have no paid clergy all work is voluntary. I have the great oppportunity to serve as a sunday school teacher for the youth of our church between the ages of 16-17. It is amazing to watch these young people live the Gospel and excel in there personal lives. They are good clean living youth. Also in the church we try to look out for each member. I am assigned to visit a couple families every month to see if they are doing well and to share a spiritual message.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Eric
I began to increase my faith in Jesus Christ as I started to learn about Him. By reading the Scriptures and learning what He has done for us and living they way he has asked us to live my faith and love for Him has grown and contiunues to grow as I continue to live his Gospel and learn of Him.
