Hi I'm Krista

I grew up in Eastern Idaho. I love science, dancing and hanging out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I enjoy trips with my family. I try to live a healthy active lifestyle, but chocolate chip cookies are one my weaknesses. I took dancing lessons for eleven years growing up, I then moved on to being part of my high school drill team for two years and being the football mascot my senior year. I ran cross country for two years and track for four. I have attended college for one year and have loved it. I like learning new things. My friends and family shape my life, I would be lost without them.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member in the Mormon church my whole life, but that did not guarantee conversion to the gospel. I went through careful conversion stages while in high school. As a freshman I had very little faith if any and blamed my life's circumstances on the people who loved me. When I entered Seminary, a religion class, my teacher gave us the challenge to read the Book of Mormon every night for fifteen minutes. Since it was our "homework" I felt like I had to do it. It was very hard for me to read every night, but after a few weeks it became easier and after a few months I could feel the difference reading the Book of Mormon had in my life. My problems were going away and I felt free to do whatever and everything I dreamed of doing. I started high school with very little confidence and faith in the Lord, but by the time I graduated from high school and seminary my confidence and faith grew so much it was hard to think I lacked anything before. My conversion is still taking place, it's a continuous process, just like reading the Book of Mormon. And it has blessed me in many ways.

How I live my faith

I have participated in my ward by being a teacher in church. I prepare by reading the chapter we are studying and add thoughts or impressions to share with the class. I like leading a discussion because I get to hear hear what others think too and it increases my understanding.
