Hi I'm Jayson Buhler

I love the Gospel. I'm a band geek. I´m a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a band geek, and love music. I play many different instruments and was the Drum Major for my marching band. I also love sports, and I've played soccer for most of my life. I graduated from high school and I am accepted to go to college, but I am currently serving an LDS Mission in Argentina Resistenca and will attend BYU when I have finished my service.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born in the church, I have come to know that this is the true Church and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the true and everlasting gospel. I have felt peace and love that I haven't felt anywhere else. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, that the Atonement was, is, and always will be a real event in my life. I know the Jesus Christ is my Messiah, that he has come, and that he will come again. I know that God and Jesus Christ love me, that they know who I am, and that they care about me and want me to return to live with them.

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving a two year mission in Resistencia, Argentina. I have learned durning my service as a missionary that the best way to live ones faith is service. I love being a missionary, having the opportunity to visit others searching for hope and teaching them of Jesus Christ. Also as a missionary, I enjoy finding little acts of service as we come across people who just need a little bit of help. I have come to know that when we truly love our neighbors, and serve them, we are loving God and Jesus Christ. Before my mission I served in leadership councils in my area, and I obtained the rank of an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program. I participated in many service projects, and tried my best to visit family members or nieghbors who were in need of company. I attended an LDS Institute class designed help us know the scripture, to know Jesus Christ, as well as attending my weekly church meetings. I try to not only live my faith while in church meetings, but in everything I do. This world is full of hard times and rough situations, and everyone needs a friend, a smile, or someone to talk too. I want to be someone that people can reach out to for help. I want to help people come unto Christ, whether it be in my family, in my neighborhood, my work, or where ever I go. While I'm not perfect, I live my faith by making goals to become a better person.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jayson Buhler
We believe that we are only saved by grace, that through our Savior Jesus Christ and his Atonement we can be saved. He has paid the price for our sins, thus we have the opportunity to return and live with God in the Celestial Kingdom. But we have to take advantage of that opportunity, and strive to live according to the commandments of God. We will be judged at the last day according to our works, but all men and women are saved by grace. Grace is a gift, but we still have the responsibility of our own actions. Show more Show less
