Hi I'm Cal Marion Rowley

Born of goodly parents in 37. 13 children. 26 grandchildren. Home builder. Career in law enforcement. Retired, St. Geo.

About Me

Born under the covenant, remained active, I'm 76 years young. A dad to 13, grand-dad to 26. Home builder and author. Full career as a police officer in Seattle. Now retired, living in St. George, UT. Poor health has forced me to give up hunting & outdoor sports. I love to read scriptures and every book by the modern day Prophets. I've always believed the LDS Church to be true, because of my upbringing, But gained my own personal testimony while serving my career in Seattle. Recipient of so many experiences of a divine nature as to eliminate any possibility of coincidence. I actually heard my Saviors voice on one occasion, in my right ear. Heeding that voice saved my life and the life of five others. I did not serve a formal mission when 19, but I feel my years as a public servant became my mission and I found much success. I absolutely know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Be happy to correspond with any interested in sharing Testimonies of the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially I was a Mormon because my folks were. They made it plain for me to see they knew the Church was true, by their word and by their deed. They truly lived their religion. I had no cause to doubt or to question their example or their faith. You might say I blindly followed in their footsteps. Then shortly before I became 30 years of age, I changed careers. I became a cop in Seattle. I saw and heard things that no man should ever hear or see. Here I saw the sharp contrast between Christians and non-Christians. And further the contrast between "Christians" in the world and those Christians of the LDS faith. It was like comparing noon-day to midnight. As I put more and more trust into my Savior I felt closer and closer to him. I felt his power and protection like an umbrella over me. I came to absolutely know my Savior was watching over me. I saw miracles on my behalf and much of my faith became a sure knowledge. I gained my own powerful testimony and no longer had to rely on that of my parents. I testify to one and all in the name of Jesus Christ that His Gospel is true and it is on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I try to read from the scriptures or other good books on a daily basis. Prayer is an every day event for me and I know there is power in prayer. I am most willing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone who wants to feel uplifted and strengthen their faith. I have learned to put my trust in my Savior Jesus Christ and in the gift of the Holy Ghost. Neither have ever let me down. Due to a personal experience I put the Lord to the test, by trusting in him only and forsaking all medical doctors and their prescription drugs. That was17 years ago, and while my health is far from perfect, I'm in better shape now than when I made the commitment 17 years ago to trust the Lord rather than 'the arm of the flesh.' Mine is not an idle faith, it is something I try to work on and strengthen every day by the things I do and say and read. By exercising my faith every day it truly becomes stronger each day.
