Hi I'm Levi Stum

I love to be with family and friends. I'm a nerd and a geek. I'm going to college at BYU-Idaho and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born in Colorado and when I was about six years old my family moved to Utah. We live in a very rural area of Utah. I've never particularly interested in Sports, I tend to have interests in activities such as computer-related things, video games, etc. I love spending time with people, friends and family alike. I served my mission in the Kansas Wichita Mission, it was literally the best decision I ever made in my life. Now I'm attending school in BYU-Idaho studying Computer Science.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, meaning my parents and family were all already members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To be honest when I was younger I kind of went through the motions. I was baptized because I had been taught it was the right thing to do, same with reading scriptures and going to church every Sunday. I had also been taught since I was a child that young men of the church - when they reach the appropriate age, around 18 or 19 - are encourage to serve a mission. At this point, when I decided to serve a mission, I knew I had at least a desire to believe the Gospel and its teachings were true. I went out and served with an eye single to the glory of God and because of it every aspect of my life was changed forever. As I went out and taught others about Jesus Christ I truly came to learn how essential Christ and His Atonement is in my life. I know the Church and its teachings are true and I have experienced firsthand in my life that if you live the principles taught by Christ and His prophets you will find true and everlasting joy in this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

I am attending BYU-Idaho, a church-run school. I feel so blessed and grateful to be at such a school where we can have loads of fun and gain an education in a very well-mannered environment with high standards and good morals. I find genuine happiness, joy, and contentment as I study the scriptures daily and communicate with my loving Heavenly Father through prayer. These are such simple things that bring me SO much joy in my life.

What is being a Mormon like?

Levi Stum
I love being a mormon and having friends who share or at least are supportive of my moral standards. You are the average of the five people you hang out with the most after all. It definitely can be different being a member of the church because we have different standards than a lot of the world, but I have a testimony that these standards are commandments from God and I have seen happiness in my life (and the lives of others) as I've followed them. What is faith?

Levi Stum
To me, Faith is believing or hoping in something you can't see. For example when you plant a seed in the ground, you must have faith that it will grow into a beautiful plant. Show more Show less
