Hi I'm Annette

I joined the church when I was eleven and will be the first full-time missionary in my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my first year of college. I was majoring in Psychology, but am switching to Zoology. I am taking two years off to serve a full-time mission. I enjoy watching movies and crocheting.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I were introduced to the church through my brother's best friends. They invited us to a Christmas party at their church. There, the missionaries introduced themselves to us and asked if they could come to our house and teach us. We agreed. We enjoyed having them over and spending time with them. We began going to church and were eventually asked to be baptized. My mother and brother agreed, but my sister and I had our doubts. We did not want to be baptized and had both agreed to tell the missionaries that we would not be baptized. The day of our baptismal interview, my sister and I walked into the church and felt completely different. I felt something inside me telling me to get baptized. Now, I know that I felt the power of the Holy Ghost that day. I have never regretted my decision of getting baptized. That experience and many other experiences are the reason why I still go to church now and have decided to serve a full-time mission. I want others to know how much our Saviour really loves us all and truly does understand and carry us through the good and bad times of our lives. The atonement has cleansed me and the love of my Saviour has made me feel complete. I want everyone to know that there is still hope and goodness in this world.

How I live my faith

I work a lot with the Young Women in my church. They are my main priority right now in my life. They are in their teenage years, so I see them struggle a lot with their testimonies and self-esteem. I usually have them come over and stay the night at my house. I teach them the importance of keeping their standards and the importance of choosing the right. I see myself in them a lot. Being spiritual is difficult when everyone around you only cares about the superficial.
