Hi I'm Ryan Yokono

I am 3/4 Asian. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Kobe, Japan, and my family and I moved to St. David, Arizona when I was eight years old. And now I'm serving a mission in the California Irvine Mission I like to draw and doodle logos and labels as a pastime. Not very into sports... But I did play tennis in high school! I love candy, Legos, alternative rock, and video games! After my mission, I will be attending Arizona State University, Herberger Institute to study Industrial Design. With this major, my dream is to design headphones!

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and tried their best to raise me and my siblings in the Gospel. The question is, "Was I the best at listening to them?" Maybe. Probably not. Okay, no. But being a Mormon family and being in this church has helped me through so many mistakes, trials, and tribulations, sometimes without me even noticing. I don't know how I would've survived some stuff I went through without this Gospel and this church. I'm a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints IS the restored church that Christ once established. The Book of Mormon is proof of it. God loves all of us and He did send His Son for us. Because He atoned and suffered for me, I can live with my Heavenly Father again with my family, FOREVER. Who wouldn't want that?

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I want to be a better disciple of Christ by helping others and lifting their burdens. Jesus Christ was so good at that!
