Hi I'm Jenny

I love meeting new people, making others smile, laughing, and being spontaneous! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm passionate about my family, friends, and sports. I swam competitively in elementary school and junior high, played volleyball on the high school team, and enjoy other activities like ultimate frisbee, soccer, and football. I'm currently a junior, studying Mandarin Chinese as my major and Communications as my minor. Some other quirky things I enjoy to do are: tie dye, photography, and donate blood. I have lived in Maryland and Utah. I love Old Bay and Maryland crabs! However, I've never gotten the whole green jello and carrots thing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the privilege to have been born in the church. My mom was the first of my family to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My life has been blessed and enriched beyond measure from being a member of this church and trying my hardest to live the gospel. I continue to follow this blessed message of Christ as my Savior and Redeemer because I would be ignorant to turn my back on such a true and sacred message. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us immensely. Everything they do is for our benefit. Jesus Christ atoned and sacrificed himself so that we could return to our father in Heaven and be happy. He carried that burden so that I would not have to go through the dreariness of the world by myself. He has provided us many means of feeling his love and guidance through scriptures, prayer, home and visit teaching, Word of Wisdom, Law of Tithing, and so so many others. I love this gospel and would rather jump into a pool of sharks than turn my back on this profound message.

How I live my faith

I live for making others feel loved and happy! Once a week my church does activities called Family Home Evening (FHE). My friend and I organize all sorts of activities to bring people together to enjoy one another's company and to have some wholesome fun! It's a really neat experience to meet people outside of a church setting, have fun, and learn how all of God's children are so different and special. Some activities we have done in the past include playing ultimate frisbee, going up the canyon to enjoy some s'mores and banana boats, pool parties, service activities, etc. It makes me smile like none other when people tell me after an activity, "Thank you so much for organizing this activity! I had so much fun and met some really nice people!" At that point, I know I did something right because I helped someone experience the joys of this life that Heavenly Father wants us to have. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to experience great joys in this life and for us to not feel alone. He wants us to feel loved and valued. It brings me the most incredible joy to know that I am doing my small part to bring people together so that they can feel like they belong and are loved.
