Hi I'm Cammy Hoskin

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

About Me

I am a mother of five children and grandmother of ten grandchildren. I've been happily married for 34 years to a wonderful man who sustains me in everything I have done and still continue to do. I love the outdoors and enjoy the mountains that surround our home. Although I've worked outside the home at various seasons of my life, I've had the privilege of being at home with our children as they were being raised and going through the ups and downs of general everyday living.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel of Jesus Christ. He is the reason I do the things I do in this life. He makes this life bearable and gives me peace when going through the bumps in life that happen and sometimes those bumps seem like boulders. It was the Savior who taught us how to serve one another and love one another. It is by reading the Book of Mormon that I've come to know my Savior more fully. I know the Savior's atonement is for me and everyone who is living on this earth. It is through this atonement that I can repent daily and be forgiven and someday be like Him. I love the teachings of the gospel. We have raised our family with family home evenings, family scripture time, and family prayer. It's these simple tasks that have held our family together through good and not so good. I know as I pray to Heavenly Father He listens and through His son, Jesus Christ, my everyday life is enriching and fulfilling. I'm grateful for the Holy Ghost who directs my daily life. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are two separate beings and the Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead. Everything about the gospel of Jesus Christ makes sense. There is not a lot of fanfare about me but I enjoy the simple things of life and how simple living the gospel can be and the joy it brings to my life.

How I live my faith

Over the years I've served in different capacities within our church, from the very young (18 months) to the not so younger years (85+) and have loved the interaction and things I've been taught through these wonderful sons and daughters of God. Recently, I was serving in the Young Women program with 14-15 year-old young women who taught me so much and truly beautiful daughters of God. They taught me more than I taught them and they have so much good to offer to the world. I loved working and serving with them. Presently, I'm serving with my husband in a marrieds ward on campus and truly love these newly married couples as well. I've also over the years have served in the PTA and have been actively involved in our children's school activities and sporting events.
