Hi I'm Jaren

I grew up in Heber, love my family, friends, golf. I have red hair. I'm serving a mission in the Philippines. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in the amazing Heber Valley and have a very blessed life! I am the oldest of 5 siblings in my family. I love to golf, play tennis, play basketball, play piano, go to BYU football games with my Dad and Brother, and to be with friends and family, as you can see I just love to play and have fun! I am currently serving a mission for the Church in the Philippines, Laoag Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to wonder about this before, I was born into the church so was it ever really my decision? YES IT WAS! I love being Mormon! I love my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ and know that they each love me so much too! They know me personally, and this church only helps you grow closer to them! That to me means more than anything, I have felt their love so much in my life and there is NO better thing! I know that they are always there to help strengthen and comfort me. I am a Mormon, not because I was born into it, but because it is the full, true, and everlasting gospel that has been once again restored to this Earth. I made this decision on my own because I KNOW this to be true, as true as the sky is blue. I love being Mormon!

How I live my faith

My faith is the hub of my life! I have been called to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and will leave away from home to the Philippines. I'm so very grateful to my youth leaders that have helped me grow and be the person I am today, and especially to my family who without them I wouldn't be the same today. Let your light shine! Are you the same person in the dark as in the light? That is how I live, love, and cherish my everyday adventures!

What is being a Mormon like?

It's super fun! A misunderstanding about Mormon's is that we aren't allowed to do things like drink coffee, tea, beer or to smoke, and because of our religion we can't do these things. But in reality we CHOOSE not to do those things because it is a commandment! Through following the commandments we are able to find such joy in life! What a GREAT and FUN life I live through living the commandments! I love to have fun and there are so many ways to have fun while still living under "Mormon rules" Show more Show less
