Hi I'm Roxane

I was born and raised believeing in Christ in a large faithful family of 10 children and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a 61 yr old Mother and Grandmother, with 1 Daughter and 1 step Daughter, 3 Sons and 1 Step son. I enjoy my 19 Grandchildren. I have had the misfortune to be widowed twice, yet the Lord has comforted me and blessed me so life is still good! I enjoy gardening, cooking, organizing, sewing-quilts, reading, embroidery needle work, walking and biking. I worked many years in family businesses. In the last 5 years I worked for a fabric store as a clerk and cashier and taught quilting, begining sewing classes for kids for 2 yrs. and the last three years as a Lab tech and an Office Manager in a Dental lab.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church by faithful parents and was baptised by the age of 8. However everyone comes to a point when they decide whether or not they are converted. A time to gain ones own testimony. When I was 15 yrs. old I started to notice, listen and participate more in my church classes. In doing so I began to feel the spirit more intensely. When I turned 17 I realized I was going to be out on my own soon and I needed to decide where I stood with my testimony and conversion process. I looked to my parents testimony, I thought of my pioneer ancestors that came from England because of their testimonies and crossed the planes to be a part of this great work in Zion. I knew that the church had always been an influence for the good and not harm for me. I decided then, that the church would always be a part of my life. I have never regretted that decision. I know that Jesus Christ lives and knows each of us individually. He wants to help us to be happy. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that Heavenly Father answers my prayers and comforts and guides me. I know that He guides this church through Revelation to the Prophets and Apostles down through the ages even today with President Monson the Prophet and the Quorum of the tewlve in this our day. I believe the Book of Mormon and the Bible to be the word of God, and that in studying them the gospel is achored in my soul and brings me peace and joy.

How I live my faith

I have helped in my community by participating in various Volunteer and Humanitarian projects sewing clothes, quilts, helping with an annual yard clean up project for Single moms, Elderly and/or Handicaped. I have over the many years served in various organizations within my church teaching children, teenage girls and adult women about the gospel, cooking, sewing, gardening, canning, budgets and how to get organized. I volunteer to clean the Boise Temple one night a week.
