Hi I'm Carson Walker

I grew up in Nevada. I'm going on a mission to Villahermosa Mexico. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of five children and I'm about to go to college. I just graduated high school and I am preparing to go on a mission for my church before college. BYU Idaho has already accepted my application and they intend to save a spot for me when I come back from my mission. I am super excited to go on my mission and to go to college. My oldest brother served a mission for our church and he had a blast. I love serving people and our church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, however, I still have a conversion story. My conversion story has spanned over 18 years and continues today. I was expected to do the right things within the church, and as long as I did i was happy and enlightened. Whenever I strayed from the path, I felt only darkness around me and a sense of being lost. So throughout the years I have striven to feel the spirit more often and protect my values.

How I live my faith

I was one of three active priests for a year in my old ward and it really helped me gain a testimony of service, because I was one of the only people who could do the duties of the priests. I love serving the people of my ward by blessing and sometimes passing the sacrement and by home teaching them. Sometimes while home teaching we can help a family with physical service, which is great, but I really look forward to leaving them with a spiritual message. I love my ward family and I love the church. I learn how to better serve my Lord and Savior by reading the scriptures and listening to the prophets. I am continually striving to become like Jesus.
