Hi I'm Peter

I love music, I'm from Wisconsin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey! My name is Peter! I enjoy people! I love being in a group of new people and just learning more about them. I tend to get a little over-excited when I'm with new people because I just go around shaking hands and learning names (which, ironically, I am quite horrible at remembering). My life is shaped by music. I can listen to Classical while I'm my bed, country while I'm driving, and Electronic while I'm mowing the lawn, and I usually have some sort of song playing in the background of my mind, be it a sad or happy one. I always try to sing with people and by myself at any given time, which my family and friends don't always appreciate (my brother especially dislikes being woken by me singing in the shower). Despite almost drowning (twice) I still love swimming and adore the shore of Lake Michigan (even if everyone else says its too cold). I love my family, though they can be frustrating, they always have my back like I have theirs, even if they never fully understand why I love to put Hot Sauce on everything. I find it easy to connect to people when I think about them as a fellow person, with positives and negatives, and each striving in some way to find happiness, just like me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because when I was ten, I wondered if this Church I had become a member of was true and I decided to pray about it. When I did I got the biggest confirmation that it was true and I have been a member ever since. I have since gained a witness of the power of the Savior's love and Atonement for us, I went through a period in my life were I was having a lot of difficulties and I know that the Savior was there comforting me, and that He knew what I was going through because He too had gone through it. I know that God is my loving Heavenly Father and that through the hard ( and good) times I can turn to Him.

How I live my faith

Well, having grown up in the church, I participated in BSA eventually earning my Eagle Scout Award ( I built some pretty impressive bluebird houses by the way). The greatest way I live my faith is by letting my friends know that I am a Mormon and asking them not to do certain things around me (like swearing for example) I have been blessed to go on a mission and in fact, that is what I am being trained to do at this very moment.
