Hi I'm Vaughn

I am a grandfather, a husband, a father, and a mormon. I am a business owner, but mostly I am a follower of Christ.

About Me

I love to work. I have created several bussiness's and love to watch them grow and prosper. I spent way to much time away from my own children when they were young, and have committed to not do that with my grandchildren. I have always believed the future lies in our young people, and yet so little is done anymore to prepare them to seize the mantle and lead. I have hired a lot of high school and college age kids over the years and tried to teach them that even summer jobs are a window into the world they will inherit. My grandchildren live close and I spend many hours a week doing stuff with them, I want them to feel that extented family thing that I had a child growing up in Idaho. I am now in my late 50's and have started my newest company. We sell and service pressure washers, which is a major change from the companies I have ran in the past, this one is smaller and more personal, and I get a kick out of watching my oldest grandson try to master the high pressure wand and we both delight in getting sprayed with water as he desperately trys to hold on and control the direction of the spray.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that Christ had a church on the earth when he lived and preached the gospel to the folks in the new testament. I believe that church was lost and had to be restored before he can come again. I believe that church was restored with all the power and authority of Christ himself through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because I have prayed hard for an answer to that question "Was Joseph Smith the prophet of the restoration and I was blessed with a comfortable feeling that the answer was yes. The scriptures say by their fruits ye shall know them, and at all levels in the church we are encouraged to believe in Christ and try to be like him. The high officers and leaders convey through their words and actions that they believe in Christ and they work for free because of that love for him and for their fellowman.

How I live my faith

The problem with being a member of the church is you don't get weekends and holidays off. I mean that when people know you are a Mormon then they expect you to act like one. I want to be honest and Christ like wherever I am, at work, on vacation, or just around the house. I don't want to have a church personality and another when I don't think people are watching or think I am not known. I used to have my name and phone number on my company pick-up, I found it made me be a better driver. I try to act everyday like I have Christ's name and phone number on me. I want people to call him and say I am a good representative for him.
