Hi I'm Siah

I grew up in Roseville, MN. I'm an athlete. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am the oldest of three children in my family. I have lots of hobbies including; football, weightlifting, rugby, singing, playing ukulele, and reading comic books. I am putting off a college athletic career to pursue a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But I am already accepted and will be attending college after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member my whole life but I consider myself a convert to LDS church. I have not always felt like being a Mormon was the right religious choice. When I was a sophomore in High School I no longer wanted to be part of the LDS church. I chose to take a different path in my life and I never found the happiness I was looking for. when I finally took the time to think about my situation I found that I was missing an important element, religion. when I realized this I started reading the Book of Mormon and praying and really felt for the first time being a Mormon was the right choice. although the journey back to the church was hard I consider it the best choice I have ever made and not just for me but also my family and friends too. So i'm a Mormon because I know that the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

In church I teach a class called gospel principles, it's a class for new or returning members. we go over basic doctrine and strengthen their knowledge along with their testimony. I also serve as a branch missionary. As a branch missionary it is my job to work with the full time missionaries serving in the area to help teach and aid them as much as I can in sharing and bringing people to the gospel.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Siah
this is a question that is hard for people, but it is actually really simple. you can know that Mormonism is true by first reading the Book of Mormon. the Book of Mormon is a crucial part of being a Mormon because the Book of Mormon hold the fullness of the gospel and if the Book of Mormon wasn't around then there would be no Mormon religion. secondly, is to pray. prayer is our direct communication with God and Jesus Christ. I know that sometimes in my life prayer was one of the things that has really helped to strengthen and build my testimony. and finally, live the principles. like science, we have to exparament to really know if something is right or true, its the same thing with the gospel we have to exparement it before you can really know if its true. also just like in science there are multiple trials, to really know that Mormonism is true you have to live the priciples for an extended amount of time to really see the benefit and the truthfulness of the Gospel. God is just waiting for you to open the door and let him in and by reading the Book of Mormon, praying, and living the gospel we open the door to let God and Jesus Christ into our lives and allow us to develop a testimony of the restored gospel.
