Hi I'm Lindsey

I grew up in a big city, & converted to the church when I was 16 years old. I study nursing, & love to learn!

About Me

I'm a college student who is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I work, go to school full time, and I volunteer for fun! I live life at 100 mph, and I love the thrill of always being on the go. I look for new opportunities to serve and to learn new things, because learning comes naturally for me. I hope to someday go on a humanitarian mission in another country. I'm ambitious, driven, and motivated to achieve both temporal and eternal goals. My testimony is strong, my faith is a work in progress, and I look up to my Savior as the perfect example.

Why I am a Mormon

Where I'm from, I've always been surrounded by the LDS religion. My mother is a member, but my father is not a member of the church. Though they are divorced and my mother has since been married in the temple for eternity, I have always been torn between two lifestyles. For many years I struggled with the church, and was persuaded to stay clear of the religion until I was older. I experienced many trials. many uncomfortable situations, and many doubts while on my journey. As a Junior in high school, I had a specific experience that made me burn with the desire to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I got in contact with the full time missionaries, and the rest is history! I know that this is the true church. I know that our faith is dependent upon our desire to follow the commandments and to return to our Heavenly Father. I know that He loves us and wants us to be the happiest we can be, and that He gives us trials to strengthen us and to make us aware of our potential. I know that the Atonement is the means by which we can not only repent, but the way in which we can learn to become like Him and be more understanding of our purpose while we are here. I know that He loves us dearly and with such a pure, unconditional love that we cannot comprehend. I know that we all can return to Him and that every day is an opportunity to share the gospel and to bring others the peace and comfort that can only be felt through the gospel. I am so blessed, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I love to volunteer my time, and have chosen to volunteer with places such as hospitals & crisis centers, & foundations such as Camp Kesem, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish Foundation, & Habitat For Humanity. In the church I have served as a counselor/teacher in the class specifically designed for women, and also as a ward missionary to reach out to those who may not have the knowledge of the gospel that I do, or to those who could use a friend!
