Hi I'm Jared

I've lived all over the country with my four brothers. I love playing sports and traveling, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary in the Washington DC South mission, speaking Spanish. I went to a year of college before my mission and loved it. My family travels a lot, and so far I've been to 4 continents and 13 countries, hopefully with more to come in the near future. I'm a big sports enthusiast, and I played rugby, football, and ran track in high school. My family also has a boat, so we love to go wakeboarding as much as possible. I like spending time with my family, and with 5 boys in the house, things can get pretty rambunctious, but my mom is a good sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first and foremost because of my family. My parents have always been great examples to me of living the Gospel and following Christ. Of course, I have had to gain my own knowledge of the truthfulness of the restored Gospel through my personal prayer and scripture study and the influence of the Spirit. I chose to serve a mission to share this knowledge with anyone and everyone who is willing to accept it because I know that it brings purpose and joy to people's lives as they learn and live the commandments. Christ is our savior, and it is only through his atonement that we will be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father and eternal families once we have completed our time in this life.

How I live my faith

In high school I lived my faith mostly by simply doing what I was supposed and trying to be a good example. I went to seminary before school every day at 6 am to study the scriptures with my class. Now, as a missionary, I have completely devoted two years to my faith and the Lord as I serve Him and try to bring more people unto Christ. It is a great blessing and I love the work.
