Hi I'm Jessica

I love to dance, laugh, and eat peppermint ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm getting ready to attend BYU-Idaho in September with a major in Psychology and minor in dance. I'm really excited and nervous to be leaving home but I know that getting an education is an important part of life and that Heavenly Father wants me to gain more knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I love to be happy and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is definitely a gospel of happiness. We are all God's children and He loves each and every one of us. The Church teaches that every soul is precious and has value. I take great strength from this because the world is a big, scary place and it's comforting to know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who is mindful of my sorrows, hardships, and worries. I know that His true church has been restored to this earth. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to Him if it was true and I received an answer through the Holy Ghost that it was true. Our Heavenly Father wants us to communicate with Him so that He can help and bless us. He is always there ever ready to comfort and direct us. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he knelt in that grove and prayed to Heavenly Father for direction on which church to join. I know that that gospel is here today because of his sacrifice to translate and bring about the Book of Mormon. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He will always love me no matter what happens in my life. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love helping the Young Women in my branch with their Personal Progress. I have been able to achieve my Personal Progress medallion along with earning my Honor Bee. I have also been blessed to volunteer my time at the public library in my area helping them shelve books and other things. I love to serve others because it brings me peace and reminds me to live how Christ lived.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

After it is our time to leave this earth our physical bodies will be buried in the ground but our spirits will not be dead. Our spirits will go to the spirit world where those who have passed before us have been. Our family members and friends who have passed on before us will be there waiting for us. The spirit world is a place where we learn more about the Gospel and might even have a chance to teach others what the Gospel is. You do not end at death. You merely are progressing through the plan that Heavenly Father has in place for each of His children. Show more Show less
