Hi I'm Arden

I'm a singer, a dreamer, and I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Arden, and enjoy doing anthing that makes me happy. I love spending time in God's creation, picnicking with my family, or adventuring. Living in southern Utah offers me plenty of opportunities to spend time outside, and take advantage of nature and it's beauty. I'll be attending the University of Utah, studying I don't quite know yet. My family means the world to me, and I plan on having one of my own down the road. I hope to marry and settle down in Arizona one day.

Why I am a Mormon

To be completely honest, I'm just an average guy, with average goals and dreams. I don't think being a Mormon makes me special or better than anyone else. What being a Mormon has done for me, is it has helped me learn to look outward instead of inward. It has given me a broader purpose to life than simply existing. It, along with the scriptures and prayer, has helped me grow closer to Christ. And that, I believe is what the Church is all about, helping people come to Christ. If it's been able to do it for a self-conscious teenager from Utah, it can do it for anyone.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the Church in Santa Rosa, California. Everyday I go out, and serve everyone I see. Sometimes it is by doing yard work for them. Other times it might be sharing the gospel with them. In any case, I try my best to make at least one person's day better, every day.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Arden
I'd say it keeps our motives in the right place! Every leader is chosen from the local congregation, and being unpaid, it is complete volunteer service. And what a service it is! It's a big job they have, but every single bishop I've met loves it, and is completely willing to serve until for a few years until a new one is chosen. Everybody in the church serves each other, it's how we help each other out! Show more Show less
