Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a sucker for adventure. I love sports and music. I'm an engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second in a family of nine children--eight boys and one girl. Two of my brothers and my sister were adopted from Ukraine two years ago. I served a mission in Ukraine and spoke Russian, so I have tons of fun with them and love talking to them in Russian. My family is the most important thing to me. I love sports. I don't watch them much, but I love to play. Soccer is by far my favorite sport. I've been playing since I was a kid, played through high school, and still play recreationally. I enjoy pretty much any outdoor activities. Camping, hiking, fishing, boating, wake boarding, and snowboarding are some of my favorites.

Why I am a Mormon

To put it simply, I grew up in a family of Mormons. However, I have made my own decisions to wind up where I am today as an active practicing Mormon. Through prayer and daily scripture study I have come to believe with all my heart that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints really is the restored church of Jesus Christ. Some may say that many commandments are fences, which keep us bound and confined. Through the experiences that I've had, I have come to realize that commandments are really guardrails keeping us safe from the dangers and consequences associated with wrong choices. I'm never happier than when I'm doing my best to make good choices and become closer to my Savior.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday and even teach a Sunday School class every other week in my local congregation. Every Monday evening all of the young single adults in the area get together and we play games and have fun together. Apart from actually going to church I do my best to stick to my beliefs and help others in whatever way I can.
