Hi I'm Sam

I grew up in California. I served a mission to Alberta Canada. I am a teacher, and love working with kids. I am a Mormon

About Me

Family is a big part of my life. I love hanging out with my wife, and we are lucky enough to have both of our extended families close enough to visit often. At work I have the opportunity to teach kids and see them learn and make connections. One of my hobbies is reading and I particularly enjoy detective novels. I also enjoy playing and watching sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, and was taught the gospel from an early age. As I got older I continued to read the scriptures and studied the things that had been taught to me. It always felt good to go to church and to continue to live the teachings of the church. When it came time to serve a mission I knew it was what I was supposed to do and I knew that I was going to be teaching the truth. I have come to know for myself, through prayer, that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet to restore the truth to the world. I also know through many personal experiences that Jesus Christ is the Savior and through following his teachings we can be happy, and become closer to God.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve others throughout my life. Helping others is one of the greatest gifts that we can give to those in need, and is one way that we can show our love to God. Through the church I have been able to serve as a teacher to various age groups. I have also had many opportunities to visit and meet with other church members in their homes. It always feels good to discuss the gospel of Jesus Christ and learn together. I have always been grateful to be able to serve someone, and to have others willing to help me when I've needed it.
